Are you a journalist driven by a passion to expose the realities of climate finance? Join our intensive training and networking program, designed to equip you with the tools, techniques, and knowledge needed to expand your proficiency as a climate finance investigative reporter.
Journalists from Nordic Media are encouraged to take part in this program if they are committed to enhancing and fortifying their journalism skills, making them well-equipped to report on the nexus of climate change and financial flows, such as investments, loans, credit agreements, underwriting, and so forth.
The objectives of the program are to increase Nordic journalists' understanding of capital flows’ impact on climate change. Further to coordinate narratives to be published in collaboration across Nordic media.

We build a strong foundation for climate-finance journalism
We publish stories in all Nordic countries
We do a competence upgrade for journalists
Background
To reduce emissions and fulfill the Paris Agreement, the world needs to shift financial flows and investments from high emitting activities and sectors that do not comply with international climate goals. Therefore, the financial sector has become important for climate solutions.
However, many media are cutting down costs for investigative journalism. Since follow-money-investigative-journalism is a research-heavy and time-consuming exercise, the need for support to journalists interested in covering the financial aspect of the climate crises is increasing.
We follow the money: Over the last few years, the financial sector has increasingly been committing itself to the green transition and has through various networks, alliances, and joint statements communicated and committed its willingness to invest in the green transition.
This applies to both stock and bond investments as well as other forms of financing, including credit facilitation, loans and bank guarantees.
